Kara Sternhell, MD is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical dermatology. Originally from St. Louis, Dr. Sternhell earned her BS in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis and her MD with honors (Alpha Omega Alpha) at Washington University School of Medicine. She completed her dermatology residency at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to joining Meramec Dermatology, Dr. Sternhell practiced dermatology at Washington University School of Medicine as an Associate Professor in Dermatology and served as the Associate Program Director for the Dermatology residency program. Dr. Sternhell has published multiple peer-reviewed research articles, and she is interested in common and complex dermatologic conditions including skin cancer, skin cancer in immunosuppressed patients, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and many others.
